the 15 inch screen seems "seems" small, I can't imagine the 13 inch screen on the MacBook.

They're all good when new. It's a year or two later that you have to worry about. Even though there is a repair extension for the Nvidia defect, I would still recommend Applecare.

First, the nVidia issue will be covered by Apple for a period of two years after the MBP goes out of warranty. Still, I'd buy Applecare just in case.

Second, you can check the serial number against the models affected. The latest for the last gen MBP was Sept of this year. I only remember that because my MBP was manufactured in Sept. Sad
