And yes, it's generally perceived down here that he's doing a good job as Governor, but I'm not sure that perception itself is a good sign.

Even the Catholic church (Jindal converted to Catholicism) advised him to not take that stance. I'm beginning to think he's using this whole religious thing as a ploy.

Catholicism does not explicitly deny evolution, in fact some Catholics have maintained that evolution is entirely consistent with their religion. Here's a good summary of each religion's view on evolution: http://webusers.xula.edu/cporter/2000n/e...ligion.htm
