So about that ipod nano that I won...what to do?
#11
Thanks for the feedback (serious and not so serious). On a whim, I responded to a Craigslist post seeking an unopened, 4th gen green nano (willing to pay $100). It was an old post and I figured that the guy would have already gotten one. I was surprised to get a reply.

Yeah, he was still looking for one. We settled on $115. I'm going to meet him this weekend to hand over that beautiful little nano. Yeah, you can probably guess that I'm still torn about this. In the end, I can't justify keeping it when:

a) I could REALLY use the money
b) I hardly use the ipod I do have
c) I know my dad won't use it

Racer X - I was saving up for an iPod Touch Wink

Lux - He can get his own damned iPod. I figure by now, he owes me (a lot)!

M>B> - Definitely a good idea. He'd probably appreciate the thought but I STILL know he most likely wouldn't use it. He doesn't travel much, he's retired & he's too practical. Instead, I think I'm going to try to fix the powerbook I gave him a couple years go for his birthday. Yeah it was my old computer (but good enough for my parents' needs & it was still worth $750 on ebay at the time). The part will cost $50. I can use my ipod proceeds towards that. I know my mom's practically dying to get the powerbook back.

billb - I never expected offers but I did expect offers to take it off my hands for free Smile

Harbourmaster - Another great idea but I'm kinda odd when it comes to music in the car. I really like the radio station I listen to (and won the ipod from); however, I do have an old 2nd gen ipod that would probably be great for full-time car duty!

Thanks again - I'm still torn over this. Somehow I feel I've done something wrong by voluntarily giving up an Apple product. That little green nano is surprisingly pretty and so tempting.

You could have traded up for stuff and eventually trade it for a house.

hmmmmm I suppose it's not too late! I could go back on my agreement. Not sure that I'd want a house in Canada though...
