I miss Pinky and the Brain. But I do wear their watch. It is ALWAYS time to take over the world.

Roger Rabbit (Movie & shorts)
Pixar shorts Rocky & Bulwinkle Ren & Stimpy early RoadRunner Pinky & the Brain Invader Zim and Macmagus' 1.2.3.4 None, zero, zip, zilch from Hanna-Barbera or their ilk. Ever. Killed animation, and the production volume alone trashed the other studios output. Drum machines and tape loops did the same for "music". That's my list. For now.

Being filled with references to old movies and pop culture doesn't make a show well written or funny. It takes zero talent to recreate a movie scene in a cartoon and dub it a cultural reference. I am getting bored with these cultural references since every animated show feels compelled to throw them at us. In contrast, look at "King of the Hill", which finds humor in its characters and in a good old-fashioned thing called "jokes".
