Anybody actually watch any of those iPad hands-on videos? That thing is *fast*

Maybe not, but iPhone has all of those things except the chip. iPad is supposedly much faster. Therefore, I'd say the processor is probably the main reason.

The iPhone has a 600MHz processor. I'd hope the iPad running a 1GHz processor would be much faster. So far I see no indication that there's anything special about the processor.

Multitasking on a 1GHz processor isn't that shabby, so I would expect single-tasking to be much faster.
