iPods vs. iPod Touch?
#11
I listen to stuff all day long. The only thing that will LAST all day long is an iPod. Nano to be exact.
And I don't want to look at the screen to pause, or change volume, or song. The best interface for that was the original iPod Shuffle. And there are some third-party iPod controllers (some in-line with earbuds) that are very similar and can do that with other (all?) iPods.

Now, I use a bluetooth earpiece (Jabra bt8010) to pause, skip, and control volume. So I never touch my iPod. Having a display that one must see the controls to work most of this is not my desired best design.

I have a 32 gig iPod Touch (first generation) and I love it. I am lusting after a 64 gig model but I will wait to see if there are significant changes in the fourth generation Touch which, hopefully, should be coming soon.

I am also intrigued by the iPad but will wait for the third generation. By then, it should have more capabilities and all the major bugs should be worked out. I've learned the hard way to avoid 1.0 products in most cases.
