Every time I go to the deli at the supermarket...

...I wonder about the thought process of the marketing genius who came up with the brand name Boar's Head. It's bad enough to realize most of that stuff is made from "parts", but why do I have to be constantly reminded of it?

It's a distinctive name, and they have branded well... My ex- would only eat Boar's Head roast beef when craving deli meats - it helped to be able to look for their logo in the window.

As for me, i've been a vegetarian for so long i don't think too much about the 'parts.' Smile

Pick up some Finnish rolls to go with that Boar's Head.

It's just a name.

For years these used to be just Brains Faggots but recently they have added the "Mr", maybe people misunderstood the ingredients. I actually liked them.

From Wikipedia: "A faggot is a kind of meatball. Faggots are a traditional dish in the UK, especially the Midlands of England. It is made from meat off-cuts and offal, especially pork. A faggot is traditionally made from pig's heart, liver and fatty belly meat or bacon minced together, with herbs added for flavouring and sometimes breadcrumbs"
