Oh hell no, that dude's a loser. It's clear he didn't love her. I just can't imagine (or perhaps the better words are "don't understand why") she would go back to him. I learned a couple years ago that my late MIL didn't forgive me for marrying her daughter until 20 years after the wedding.

But unlike the original poster, I have had a continuous regular paycheck since I was a sophomore - in high school. No DUI, and I've OWNED a car and paid my OWN insurance since I was 17, never missing a payment (for either a car or insurance).

I have a good family friend whose daughter is in her 20s and she accepts physical abuse by her BFs. I truly do not understand - she's smart, beautiful, and has no self-confidence. So sad to watch her move back home every time her latest does her harm (psychological or physical).
