Friend of mine gave me an iPhone 3GS a few months back. I was pretty excited to receive it on account of never owning an iPhone and even though the 3GS is long in the tooth, still newer hardware than my iPod touches. Fast forward to now. Turns out the 3GS isn't an appreciably better iOS experience than my old iPod touches. Web browsing is passable, whereas anything heavier than Opera mini on the old touches is a bit painful, but media handling is roughly the same for my needs. Since I don't plan on buying new games/apps, the upgrade to iOS 6 isn't as useful as it would be with continued purchasing of such content.
While I could keep the little guy, my Moto G media/mini tablet is a much better device in all ways. As such, do I:

- Keep the 3GS anyway, fully substituting it for a 2nd gen iPod touch
- Sell it for peanuts
- See if some family/friend happens to have a use for it?
I suppose I could attempt all three in reverse order. All thoughts appreciated?
