I'm thinking about you Rudie and praying. I know some people in the area, but not well. Haven't heard anything either way about them. For many, it's very difficult. Take care, take one step at a time, never lose hope.

I feel like we should be assembling an MRF aid package. I hadn't realized how severe the devastation was until looking at those pictures above! Which aid organizations do others feel will do a good job on the ground? I usually give to Medicins San Frontiers for situations like this but am open to alternatives. I just want to see as much of the aid money go to helping people as possible.

Nerissa and Musashi are alive . . . They stayed on the 2nd floor of their Apartment up on the bed and some how survived. Lilian's Parents are also with them now. This was reported by Lilians uncle in Calbiga, Western Samar He actually lives in Lawaan but had to go to Calbiga to find cellular signal to call every everyone. It is a 3 hour trip maybe from Lawaan.
Life is good ~!~
I will also say that although we have been very fortunate, many here have not
and still need all the help they can get. We will be doing our best to help
those we can.
We are very, very grateful . . . "understatement"

So glad to hear of the great news of everyone in the family being okay! That's got to be a huge relief for you and Lilian. Clearly still a massive tragedy for so many, just glad you and yours are okay.

A dark cloud had been hanging over our lives and this apartment since last Thursday evening.
It is much lighter here now.

So glad you got the good news we have all been waiting for. I know things will be very difficult for some time and many will not be so lucky with the news they get but this is a ray of sunshine in some very difficult times for the people there and their families.
My IT manager at work is Filipino and much of his family is there. Luckily they were all OK as well.

Hey Joe ~!~ Thanks for your good energy, prayers and support from everyone.
We also have many more friends throughout the Typhoon zone and we are
hoping for the best for them.
Lilian has already donated some funds for food for the people of Lawaan
I believe over 11,000 people live in Lawaan.
For those of you having friends here in the Philippines or family
please let us know if we can help in any way.
Rudie
