Hello, I'm cbelt3- and I'm *sob* a serial poster. (Reaches for coffee..)

Why is everyone so upset about cereal posting? I mean, if you want to talk about what you ate for breakfast, who cares? Cornflakes, oatmeal, even Count Chockula, everyone has a right to their own breakfast choices.

I mean, if we start censoring talk about breakfast, where will it end? We will all end up eating in the closet. And let me tell you my closet is full of mold, which I would really rather not get on my food.

And then the shoes. If I have to eat in the closet, where will I put my shoes?

That's SERIAL posting, Emily, not CEREAL posting.

Oh! Never mind.

I miss those misguided rants!

Glad to hear your son didn't get hurt, cbelt.

At the end of the day, it is a good idea to not text and drive. What a funny topic to have become controversial.

But do you really think it necessary to begging us not to text and drive?

Exactly who do you think you're directing this to?

Just telling us what happened is enough without implying by imploring.

8-)

To paraphrase Cbelt: What is WRONG with you?

I was shocked to learn that one of my good friends routinely texts and drives - ironically, he's an expert in people being stupid behind the wheel as a retired claims adjuster for AAA. I got instantly mad - PUT THAT AWAY! I couldn't believe it. And I see people doing it all around me when I'm driving.

THERE ARE people right here that do it - and they should stop it!

Way to go cbelt - shame these people into doing the right thing...

speaking of which... how goes the effort to encourage your wife to quit smoking? I recently learned that that my Mom's good friend (and good friend of the family) has just quit after more than 50 years of smoking. The very last person that I'm in any way close to is now done with smoking.

It was impossible for her to quit too - just like your wife, but she did it. The wife can too - don't give up!

Oh I know exactly who 'belty was specifically directing his post at and lemme tell you bro, you're coming through Loud And Clear. Gotcha!

And there's no damn way I'm gonna stop. You pinko wackos can't bloody legislate the damn way I text and drive. This is a free country and I checked, there's no provision anywhere in the Constitution about texting. Or driving. So you texty drivey Nazis can can just stuff it.

I'm glad we cleared this thread up, no loose ends.

Hands free. That's the key. For texting and driving or calling and driving and the like.

Not a damn thing.

That's news to me.

Apparently I gave this crowd way too much credit.

I'll try not to do that going forward.
