I saw it years ago, with Idina Menzel, and Chenoweth.....

I am pretty cheap, and never spend to much without much thinking....

At intermission, it is right after Idina is raised up 20-30 feet, and ends the song DEFYING GRAVITY with a great oh-oh -ohhhhhhhhhh.

And I just loved it., I stood up, without telling the wife where I was going, and came back with the CD.

It was truly a fun night.

Also saw RENT there with the original cast. Also great.

Out Tonight, my favorite song, in that one.

Remember, no singing along. This is not your living room.

Not a bad seat in the house at the Gershwin. No late arrivals. No exceptions. The line for the women's bathroom can be very long and slow. Plan accordingly.

A friend and I went to see "Porgy and Bess" in Baltimore years ago, and the woman behind us began singing LOUDLY and off-key during "Summertime". She was super offended when everyone told her to stop. It was doubly infuriating because a local singer had been chosen to sing the song and the audience really wanted to hear HER.
