Jeffrey Sandusky, the son of convicted sex abuser and former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, has been arrested on felony and misdemeanor child sexual abuse charges, according to court documents from the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The younger Sandusky, 41, faces 14 counts, including sexual assault of a child older than 11, sexual assault of a child less than 16, and a variety of other sexual abuse and child pornography charges.

Abuse is often perpetuated. High odds he was abused, potentially by his father. One more reason why it's critical to catch these despicable people as early as possible. The chain of victims they leave is unbelievable.

Terrible situation that could have been stopped a long time ago but football was too important.

Unfortunately true all too often. The rate of victims becoming abusers in the future could probably be reduced with appropriate counseling, but it is often not available or only given for a limited amount of time.
Personal experience, an acquaintance I knew about 25 years ago through my ex was abused as a child by a foster parent. That abuser did end up in prison in another state. I know this person got limited counseling for the abuse. Recently became aware he was in prison and looked up the reason. He had been sentenced to 20+ years for abusing a young child and conspiring with his partner to abuse an even younger child.

They could have stopped the father earlier and saved many children but the son was not under suspicion. And stopping the father 20 or 30 years ago was too late to save the son.

Its not the "football" that was too important, it was the MONEY from alumni and other companies, TV, sponsors, etc, etc.
As always. $$$ talks and BS walks.
College football. Sorry, just not a fan.

Football and money are interchangeable to Paterno and company. All outweighed doing the right thing.

Some of the stuff circa the Rose Bowl was eye rolling -- about how much the program and players "went through" and how this season has been some sort of redemption and renaissance.
Yeah, I'm sure it was tough, compared to what Sandusky's victims endured, FFS.

I skipped the Rose Bowl due to Penn State involvement. Your description makes my eyes roll also. It must be so hard to be athletically gifted and play football at the NCAA level when people ask you tough questions about greedy former coaches.
