I use a bike pump to keep tires topped off. I check regularly so I’m only adding a couple of psi. Takes two minutes a tire tops although I could see how some might mistake that with forever.
Is this a good bicycle tire pump for $30? We have "regular" bikes.

I have that same pump from Amazon, although it is a different company. If you look, you'll see it's sold under several different names. It seems to be well built and works well. I just used it yesterday. It should meet your needs nicely.

I vote for going to your local bike shop and buying a pump there, help keep them in business.

Because, although they're a SRAM dealer, when I take my SRAM hub and SRAM cassette in because it has a fitment problem, they say "sorry, we usually work on road bikes?" Online, I got a response within hours. Because when I take a bike there for repairs, they ship it off to some other shop to do the work? I don't like my bike coming back with problems and not being able to talk to the shop that did the repairs. Because when I try to buy a new bike for my wife there, they say "Sorry, we don't have any in her size. But we can order you one, and you have to put half down. It's not refundable if it doesn't fit."? I'd like to find a bike that both fits and is enjoyable to ride. Etailers make that a lot easier. Because when there's a small part I need, they rarely have it? If they're going to have to wait 5 days for it to show up in the shop, I'd rather it take 2-3 days and show up in my mailbox. Because when I need a basic cycling rain jacket, they don't stock anything under $200? Online, I can buy things at a variety of price points, not just Expensive and Super Expensive. Because when I need to a new free body they take forever trying to look it up, and then say they'll have to call, even though they're a dealer of that part? I might as well just buy it from the MFG off their site. Because when I ask for advice on a part, they don't know? There's several online sites that really know their stuff.

We have this Zefal Double Shot that may or may not still hold air, stashed in our storage locker. If my kid and his GF don't want it, it's yours for shipping when I can get help digging it out of storage. I don't think they've been made in awhile, so there's probably a reason for it. It's from the early 90's or before.

I guess it depends on the local bike shop. There was a pretty good one almost in walking distance when I was in Sac., but that was ten years ago. I have not been to any local ones yet where I currently live.

He's probably talking about the big bike shop 5 blocks from his house. It is a long way from being what it was in the 1980's when I got my english-made Raleigh Super Grand Prix there.

They just cater to people who will drop $3-10k on a bike, get fully kitted, and not ride. Racer X wrote: It's physically smaller than the LBS I used to work at.
