Which model is this? I have a server version and out one of hd and replaced it with a ssd. So it is set up as a ssd boot drive and a data hd. No fusion involved.

he has the 2012 dual drive model. It came with "Fusion", not sure if that's the same thing as the "server model" or not, probably the hardware is almost indetical except they populated with a SSD and HD combo versus 2 HD as in the original server model.

go back to DU and see if perhaps you may need to reformat, even though pretty sure Robert sent you formatted.
If that don't work, hate to say it, may have to at least disconnect the spinner. You do realize that everyone here is gonna send you their minis to service since you'll be a highfalutin tech.

I think it's only an installer (and recovery options). And it appears that you are booted from the thumb drive. That VendorCo is the thumb drive.

I got to disk utility and reformatted the new SSD and rebooted and the new SSD showed up as an availble ddrive to install the oS and is installing as we speak!!!!
