All 4 guys I know who had prostate cancer and had the thing removed are happy they did. Three of the 4 guys told me (without me asking) that they're sexually competent after the surgery. Two of them told me they can now pee like they did at 18 since their prostates had gotten pretty big. The fourth hasn't said anything except that he's happy he had it taken out. All were done robotically.
The one negative thing they all talked about was the catheter. It's irritating and there's a chance that you won't be able to pee when it's removed. Only 1 guy had that problem. He had to be re-catheterized in the doctor's office when they filled his bladder with water and then pulled the catheter and he couldn't pee it out. They waited a couple of days and pulled it again and he's been fine.
