OK, I fell for the target deal last week, I needed minutes anyway, so I also got the phone for free. 6030 may be the bottom of the range, but it does what I want: make calls. That's it.
Now the phone has a small USB connectors, like those on digital cameras, except it is even smaller. as far as I understand, it is NOT a standard USB cable, I think NOKIA came up with this design.
It appears that a data cable will allow you to do certain things, like back up, restore and even move MP3 ringtones into the phone. You can do all this if you buy a cable http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000I87DH2/ref=...ireless-20&creative=380333&creativeASIN=B000I87DH2&linkCode=asn and if you run Windows (blah).
Questions:
1-is there a cheaper cable out there? 20 bucks for something that might not work is too much.
2-even though iSycn does not officially support Nokia 6030, did anyone try it? can you sync contacts, callendars, ToDos and Notes?
