Yeah, I know.

That reminds me--I've never seen Rocky either. It's only been 31 years since that one came out.

Never seen Jaws either.

I did see The day the Earth Stood Still though, that was worth while.

it always cracks me up when someone refers to the shark as "Jaws" - as if that's its name...

Bruce..
If you want to get technical...
The rubber and foam sharks name is Bruce.

He lives at Universal Studios.... (or at least his clone does).

I saw Jaws when I was 8. We went to daytona beach the following weekend and there was nothing on earth that would have gotten me into the water. There were some great performances in that movie. I love the story-telling scene. Wasn't it one of Speilberg's first movies? kj.

to this day, swimming in salt water creaps me out.

And knowing that 20 foot sharks live in Puget Sound (albeit completely harmless 6 gilled sharks at 800 feet) in no way helps.......

Knowing that great whites have been caught off the Pacific Coast of Washington State really doesn't help.

And since I saw Mythbusters during Shark Week, I now know that shooting an air tank with an M1 garand won't kill a shark really doesn't help.
