I own about every woodworking tool and piece of machinery that you
think of but I've never seen anything like that. The one they're not
showing you is the changing of miter backing board for pushing the the
wood across the blade. It's not going to take long and you going to have
pieces missing from the miter backer board. It's amazing looking piece
of machinery but man it comes at a high price.

A little overpriced. I know some guys that fell in love with Japanese saws for precise custom work about 18 years ago. There seems to be waves of popularity.

I found out how well the Japanese saw design works when I bought a
folding pruning saw, cuts on the pull not on the push.

That's very cool. Limited to small stuff, though. The blade looks like it came from a Japanese dozuki saw. The good ones are incredibly sharp and, by cutting on the pull stroke, can be very accurate. I use two sizes in my shop often. I'd love to have one of these for some of the small fine work I need to do. Steep tho'!
