How many of you have a USB hub?

Mine is dangling off my AE to put printers on the network.

I will add that apart from my two USB hubs I have a Firewire hub. This has my scanner, a cable for my camcorder, my Studio digitiser and a spare cable ready for either HDs or doing Target mode for visiting sick Macs.

I remember many years ago when Firewire hubs first came out the store that I worked at was selling 6-port hubs for $300. People actually bought them too, I can't imagine what for. Maybe a DV camera, scanner and hard drive, but most desktop devices had a passthrough anyway.

Mine is a very cheap (certainly compared to $300!!) hub, I think it cost me about £10.The HD cases I use have a passthrough as does the Formac Studio but the other devices don't.

I have two, but haven't used them since I put in a USB card to get a separate bus for my audio interface.

Right. So does my Apple keyboard. I was saying that I had no need for an external stand-alone USB hub.

Yep, I've got one.

I've got a PowerMac G5.

The only things I keep connected 100% of the time is my keyboard, UPS, Mouse, and printer.

I use the front USB port for either my card reader or iPhone, when the time is ready.
