There was a thread about FM transmitters just a week or two ago. My advice in that thread was to walk away from FM transitters as well as cassette adapters and just replace the radio with a model that has a face mounted AUX-In jack. More expensive than either an FM transmitter or a cassette adapter but vastly superior. Since the other car has an AUX-IN jack, then you already know from experience about the benefits.
