Do you put tennis (athletic) shoes in washer/dryer?

Years ago we had a bag with a rope that sneakers would go in (laces removed, but in the same bag.), the rope cinced the open end shut.
You could use a pillow case and knot the end or rubber band it to keep them in.
Less noise if in with regular laundry.

You could tie the laces to a pair of pants belt loop or a shirt button hole, too, and wash just the laces again. With other stuff seems to wash better.
