That's a straight binary split, as opposed to rar's.

Use split and concat to put it together, and MacPar deluxe to fix corrupt segments.

The par files are used to fix corrupt data. Only download as much as you need to fix things. They are parity files similar to those that are used to recover the data on raid volumes.
