How does YouTube work on the iPad, if there is no Flash support?

Uploading of H.264? Not sure what good that will do. YouTube transcodes the videos that get uploaded. So if they only allows uploading of H.264, they'll still show a Flash version to viewers not using HTML5. Allowing H.264 uploads only would just upset most users. The whole reason YouTube is successful is that they accept a variety of formats and transcode it to Flash.
They transcode to flv and h.264 or some other MPEG format now, for most videos, I think.
