Viewing F1 races in the USA
#7
FOX typically only shows two or three races out of the 19 race season, and they rarely seem to advertise it. It just pops up on the local TV listings from time to time. Usually Monaco and Canada.

Without any cable service, the cheapest way to get SPEED Channel is by one of the satellite services, about $46 for a 100 or 150 channel package plus about $8 in fees and local taxes (they NEVER tell you what the actual final price will be before hand unless you really press the issue).

Scumcast usually requires you have to upgrade at least two tiers of service over basic cable to get the SPEED channel. A total bill of $60 to $80 depending on the location. I used to be able to get SPEED for free because my VCR had a really sensitive tuner and could pick it up on (IIRC) channel 33 when the filter was supposed to remove anything above channel 32. The other alternative was to go to the local British themed bar and nurse a beer or three for the entire race. :drink:
