FOR THE ULTIMATE ANSWER, IT IS A HIGH RESOLUTION GRAPHICS CARD TYPICALLY FOR GAMING. If your monitor has the DVI port and a VGA port, but your computer doesnt have a DVI card, don't go through the hassle to get a new card for your computer unless you want the high resolution.
