get some extra AA batteries on hand for the wireless mouse.
depending on usage the batteries will only last a month or two and then when it goes dead you have to replace the batteries or you can't use it. (well for all intents and purposes...)
the keyboard batteries last a long time
I have had my 21.5" since April. I got more RAM for it because even though it comes with 4GB, Safari and other programs kept sucking it up for some reason. Slowed things down a bit.
I have no other complaints about this unit.
make sure she does not stick mini DVDs or mini CDs in the slot loader. There is no "tray".
