Create a web page - what's the best way for a home/small business user?

It's for a friend of mine who's a realtor and wants a web page with contact info - nothing fancy, but she'd like to modify it periodically to reflect current listings and sales with pictures of property. She's a professional writer so understands basic page design, but would want something to do the web page creation and hosting. Some sort of Paint by Numbers kind of thing. Is there anything software/plan you'd recommend that she could use for this purpose. In the good old days, I'd have said subscribe to dot Mac and build your own (she has a Macbook that's running XP in Boot Camp).
I'm really out of touch with "social networking" so looking for good advice from fellow forum-ites to pass along.
