Not saying it can't be done but there are philosophical differences here that preclude something as easy as slapping the box inside the TV.
It would be Apple TV integrated into the TV. Just as if someone duct taped it inside. Just like 'HDMI1', 'HDMI2', and 'Component' inputs there would be an 'Apple TV' selection and that would bring up the integrated Apple TV.
