Bring some facts to support your view that putting money to buy necessities into the hands of the poorest people doesn't go directly into the local community and support jobs. What other action puts cash into the economy more quickly than this? What is warped is that you are ignoring the quote. The quote is not about about "...putting money to buy necessities into the hands of the poorest people..." The quote is not about putting money into the economy. The quote is ""If you want to create jobs, the quickest way..."

Surely, you don't think the quickest way to create jobs is to massively fund food stamps and extend unemployment past 2 years?

Again, the quote is about the quickest way to create job.
