I'm going to replace a part in my oven. Step one of instructions says to unplug appliance. But the plug is behind the thing and it's a bit of a hassle to slide it out far enough to unplug it. It's certainly doable, but I'm wondering if it wouldn't be just as effective – if not even better – to flip the circuit breaker off. It will certainly be easier. Power off is power off, no?
