I out-earned Steve Jobs again this year

I've often wondered that. When you have enough money for yourself and family for the next 10 generations, what's the point of going after more? To keep it out of the hands of the folks trying to live their version of the American Dream? :dunno:

I think you need to give them credit for continuing to work everyday in spite of the fact that they have enough money to sit on the beach and have topless women serve them drinks all day.

I've never heard of a lottery winner who stays at his meaningless job. Jobs, Cook and most successful entrepreneurs have hit essentially "hit the lottery" and yet they continue to work. They made a lot of money because money isn't the most important thing to them. They have a passion in life and they are fulfilling it. Money is just a measure of the value of your service. You and I should be so lucky.

And I agree with Paul F. Money isn't a zero-sum game. Successful entrepreneurs have created so much wealth for people other than themselves.
