Facebook, how do you use it?

As I have said on other threads, I am skeptical about FB, but I have friends and family spread across the country, too.

I am going to be careful with it. I have a lot of controls on mine. You info is useful. I think you just have to set parameters on the experience, so that it is not used as advertising. If not it just becomes noise.

But it has really been amazing, for slowly getting back in touch with people. Like sitting on the steps at the pool, next thing you know you are in the water. The internet and forums are a fun diversion, but not a substitute for person to person contact, picking up the phone and hearing emotion in a voice, and actually getting out and doing things. FB is reconnecting me to people I want to see and do things with.
