G5 info

I've used several well-used G5s which spin up the fans at the slightest provocation, like opening a new program or window. Starting from a fresh OS install didn't help so I assume it was something hardware related, including too much dust on some sensor somewhere or possibly too much everywhere. I didn't own any of them so I didn't have the chance to find out if a Spring cleaning would restore them to their formerly quiet state.
