I had a 1.8DP and one time it sounded like a jet taking off [and stayed that way]. It had AC so I took it in and the fans needed to be recalibrated. I think it's a process that can be done at home too. Normally, the fans would spin up for a little bit and then go down. Got used to it after a while.
