I'm not saying bands shouldn't have the right to dictate if their shows are recorded or not. Hey, just like the last however many decades, if they see someone recording or shooting and they're not supposed to be, eject 'em. Fair enough.
I don't like that Apple has got their hands in this. It shouldn't be up to them regardless of how much they are willing to take as a payoff. Although rare, there have been shows I've been to that fights have broken out that people have documented the actions that I'm sure evidence came in handy.
There a tons of bands that encourage fans to shoot/record shows, too. I've been told I couldn't shoot a show with my camera when the bands themselves have said go ahead. In the end, it's not my main reason for being there but as a photographer I don't like where this is going.
