Exactly. You can easily do this, with these (Crucial) drives, and they will 'hold' just fine in the Mac Pro. If you want to get a harness later, fine, but you can just leave it plugged in without anything or if you want to add a little bit of underneath support, just put something underneath it (e.g. hard foam, etc.).

I have a couple of these just like this in some Mac Pro servers. I do have harnesses, but since never used them since the drives just sat so well in there.
