OT: I finished every episode of Star Trek Voyager, let's discuss
#1
Spoilers ahead:

OK, so I admit that I am a big sap and actually got a bit emotional once they got back to earth. I realize that I like this show more than my first time through and realizing I missed a bunch of episodes.

While I would not say that Voyager has moved up in my Trek rankings, I do think much more highly of it.

Some random thoughts about Voyager:

I like the crew's snarky remarks to each other, it would be realistic for a ship stranded so far from home. It gave it more of a sense of family, well, more like my family anyway. A close knit dysfunctional group.

The halo novel episode where the doctor bases his story on the Voyager crew was hilarious.

I don't think Tom Paris is a good friend to Harry Kim, he is constantly knocking him down a peg for no reason.

Why is every lady attracted to Chakotay? He is a decent looking guy but I don't think he is a Kirk type. Ladies, can you give me some insight into this? Seska, the Captain, Torres, 7 of 9, memory eraser lady, were all into him.

The Doctor is the character I enjoyed most from the show. His pithiness and outrage always brought a smile to my face.

Neelix, never did much for me and neither did Tuvok separately but when they were together it made for some decent laughs. Tuvok's dancing gesture before Neelix leaves was a nice surprise considering Vulcans do not dance.

Captain Janeway, she probably should have had a dozen mutinies on her hands. She ended up ripping Captain Ransom a new one for violating the Prime Directive to keep his crew alive and she ends up messing with the Temporal Prime Directive later.

Feel free to add to any Voyager discussion since I am now going through TOS.
