Dilemma being reviewed; at the store...
#15
If he had accused the checker then and there of stealing, that would have been jumping to conclusions.

Instead, he saw some thing that to a reasonable and prudent man seemed at odds with reality. Now if at that point somebody takes the "I don't want to get involved approach" that's their choice, but I'd say it was a poor one. But it's their's to make.

No, it's not rape, robbery, or murder, but it seemed suspicious to Buzz. He didn't see any of the offered legitimate actions take place that might have justified what he was seeing. What he did see didn't look right. And her body language may have betrayed her. At this point a friendly but pointed inquiry could have gone far in determining subsequent action.

My only faulting of his actions was that he didn't contact the local management first. I think it a stretch to assume that management should be watching every checker every minute. Management must certainly have other duties than constantly survelling employees, not to mention probably not having the staff to do so and still run the day to day operations.

The manager may or may not get back to Buzz. He's under no obligation to do so, though it would be nice. If there is some form of disciplinary action, then it's an internal matter.

I'd say that the Dilemma stage is over, and that Buzz did well.
