If you go used, you can get BMW 3 series wagons (and with manuals!). My E46 wagon is RWD with a manual transmission and red leather interior. When I have lots of disposable income, I'll do an engine swap for an M3 engine and add an LSD.

Or get the M coupe. Not a lot out there though, so I actually think they hold their value pretty well, but they're two door, so I guess they're really a "shooting brake".

Or a Subaru Impressa WRX/STI.
