Last straw for us was them moving Turner Classic movies to a higher package, leaving us with two hundred channels of sh*t.
Was _so_ satisfying to call them up with the news and have them try to beg and discount their way out of it, but I was way past that by then.
Anyway, we get around 20 free channels (including ThisTV and MeTV) over the air, and Netflix through the iTV. Went to CenturyLink for internet, and although that was another Comcast-like mess, we finally got it straightened out. Now I think we get ~5 MBit/sec via DSL, which is fast enough for browsing, and generally enough to stream HD TV content through the iTV.
Started watching House of Cards this week, and found it considerably more engaging than the reality and competition shows that choke the cable- and air-waves right now. With Vevo and Sky News starting free on iTV this week, I'm starting to feel happier with the future of the boob tube.
