I haven't seen any of those flashlight apps since the 'Phone began shipping with an LED.
Older 'Phones would still need them, but are they available from the App Store? I had one on my 3GS, no ads, and you chose the color of the screen. And it did the SOS strobe thing, which I liked. It may have been called a lamp app.
One of practices I really dislike about the Devs and the App Store is that some of these (and other apps) started out as ad free but included them in a subsequent update.
Don't know if I still have it. All the apps that show up when I Spotllight flashlight are LED apps. Even though the iOS7 flashlight made them all second-tier, some of the interfaces were pretty cool.
