Anything new in home blood pressure machines?

I had read that the ones that wrap around your wrist were unreliable. My mom got one, thinking "how bad can it be?"

Well, pretty bad. She thought she had a "spell" with her blood pressure because of some high readings. I tried it out over a couple of days and the readings were all over the place while my readings at the doctor's office are very consistent. So, the thing is worthless.

So, I am not a fan of the wrist-type ones.
