I have one and use with some regularity. In fact, I'll be using it today again to track a pesky code on one car. It cleared a code thrown by another car after sitting for a long while. The code has not returned, so that is good. When a code returns, of course, you should deal with the source of the problem (the current issue with the first car).
You will have some futzing to do with syncing the device to the app. Mine is persnickety and I have to re-learn the secret handshake nearly every time I use it. The passcode, for instance, is 6789, I believe, instead of 0000 or 1234.
