Apple was quick to reply. Computer was first purchased on 8-27-2013 OOPS! it was actually 8-27-2012!!!. Out of warranty.

Best Buy was/is bullshitting.

Next round is trip back to store with proof.

But I do want to keep the computer, but not with the failing drive and the lack of warranty. And I don't want the "Geek Squad" near it again.

Thanks for all the replies. Tomorrow is earliest I can make my case against Best Buy.
