Bob Marley & the Wailers "Legend (Remastered)" ENTIRE album 99 cents at Google Play
#2
Thanks for the killer deal!!!!! Smile

Uh. Great album, horrible service. If you download the album through the Play Music app directly on a device, it is very hard to get the darn music off the device or accessible with another music app. You can use the web interface on a computer, but you only get two chances to download via this method. Otherwise, you have to use a whole separate app from Google, Music Manager1, just to get your downloads to your computer. The whole process reminds me of the stupid™ that is iTunes, except a bit more open on account of the limited web access and more flexible platform support for the Google Play Music app2.

Why would you want to download the music separately instead of using the Play Music app? Maybe you are trying to offload content from your Nook HD's internal storage to an SD card (Kit Kat is supposed to enable SD download of music, so there's a small bit of sunshine)? Maybe you want to play the music in another music player than Play Music? Maybe you want to store the music on your home media server and share to any client that can access DLNA, Plex Media Server, etc rather than constantly using Google's cloud and apps? Maybe you want to put it in iTunes and then load into iTunes Match or Amazon's MP3 upload service?

Why is two downloads not enough? Maybe you are one of the people who tried downloading an album and one of the tracks had a corrupted download, twice, and now you are one track short without jumping through the aforementioned hoops?

I hope I'm mistaken about the limitations of Play Music, but after researching for an hour why I couldn't directly access the Frozen Soundtrack3 so I can move it to the SD card on my daughter's Nook4, I was a little peeved by the complexity of actually getting to the DRM free MP3 tracks. I have web browser, Google has a web interface for the store. Why does't this work better?

1Music Manager of course has unlimited access to your music.
2Mobile apps also have unlimited access to your music and Play Music is available on iOS and Android.
3$3.99 on sale at Google Play; in theory, great present for the daughter. Then I run into this mess.
4Ideally, later I would transfer the tracks to iTunes so I can sync to her iPod and iPhone as well.
/end rant

Hope my rant didn't spoil the deal. I really do mean it when I say thanks.
