Yep, I use mostly WiFi, too. Never have come close to using up my measly 500MB, even when we were on vacation.
The only thing about it is the second thought I give everything. How much data will this use? Should I wait until I can get wifi somewhere? How secure is that wifi going to be? What if my wife blows out her 500mb of data by texting giant images? Sometimes I envy my brother with his grandfathered unlimited data verizon plan.
I hear you. When my mother-in-law switched from her Verizon unliminted data, to get her new 5S last year, I was monitoring her usage like a hawk for the first month or so. That Unlimited plan was costing her about $100 a month and she was using less than 1GB, so it didn't make sense to keep it, but it was nice not to worry about it.
