Omb,
I've had a particular type of Feit bulb burn out. The replacements burned out quickly. Feit replaced them under warranty but I have to go through the hassel and expense of sending the bulb back to them. Once or twice, I'll do but it's happen far more often in less than three years. I'd switch to a different bulb except the Feit is the only one with the proper size, shape, color and lumen output.
The other thing I've noticed is the overall longevity of LED and CFL bulbs is overrated. They definitely don't last as long as the warranties imply. In the case of LEDs, replacement at the owner's cost can be expensive. Even replacement via warranty can be expensive if the manufacturer requires the bulb be returned to them.
I've had more LEDs than incandescent and CFLs combined burn out in my new apartment. One was a flood bulb and the others were the FEIT model I mentioned earlier in the post.
To everyone else, when looking at the reviews be sure to differentiate the standard model from the dimmable model. The stnadard model may have few poor reviews than the dimmable version. Amazon doesn't make it particularly easy to make the difference readily acessible.
