Absolutely agree. Getting economy class internationally saves you only 50% of the ticket on average, as "taxes and fees" can make anywhere from 20%-80% of regular ticket price, and those you have to pay in cash anyway. But they are usually a miniscule percentage of business class ticket and less than for an economy one. In addition, business class is 4-10 times more in cash, but less than double in miles.
But that is not going to help you for the amount of miles you have right now.
