Yeah, sorry, gotta agree with this.
Likewise.
Fraud requires intent, and that's not easy to prove.
Your circumstances could easily be the result of lousy bookkeeping/inventorying.
Knowing it's fraud is one thing, proving in is another, and you don't even know that.
Then they can wash, rinse, and repeat by showing the next rube a receipt from 7-12-2105.
Again, this *supposes* that this was a deliberate action that they are likely to repeat. That could be the case, but is it?
In any case it was heavily used, not a brand new product that was just used during a short return period and was sitting idle for close to 3 years.
Agreed. This is not "open box" in any reasonable sense of the word. I didn't know that BB had a specific definition, but it makes sense to do so.
What if BB offers to take $100 more off the price?
That would allow him to keep the computer and get the HD fixed on his own.
And keep in mind that it will probably need a new battery soon, more than 50% life gone, but maybe that's inaccurate and re-calibrating it will show better numbers.
I'd just wash my hands of this. I was of the opinion, having no actual knowledge, that the recommended monthly calibration was about getting your remaining time per charge (as shown in the menu bar) to be more accurate as the battery ages. Does it affect the accuracy of displayed mAhs? Or any other recorded data shown in coconutBattery?
